Erin, Have you done lapbooks? I have friends that love them! Homeschool workshops are so much fun!:) What curriculum does everyone use? Any favorites? Any that didn't work for your family? I am a huge curriculum junkie:) I love so much of it, so narrowing down what we want to use is always the hardest part!

This past weekend was the INCH conference in Lansing Michigan. There were so many wonderful workshops! One of my favorites was a hands on workshop about lapbooks. We learned how to make a lapbook and got to take it home with us. So cool!

Another favorite of mine was about being frugal. The woman is also the creator of a writing curriculum. You can learn more about it at www.heretohelplearning.com She does videos. They are funny and engaging. Very budget friendly too. $6.99/mo for the entire family. You have access to all the workbooks online for that price too. Definitely right up my alley and budget!

Dear ErinStephens08, these are such precious experiences for children, they'll remeber such moments much more than those spent in their classrooms, this also is a way to teach them ... school is not only education and training - which are far important, for sure - it is also learning to stay together if we want to hope in a better world, tomorrow ...

Today we took a break from school and went to our friends home where we had walking tacos for lunch and the kids played and played outside and in the woods. Us mom's (there were 3 of us) sat around chatting, nursing babies, and just enjoyed our time. There were 17 kids altogether, I do believe! 😃

Nina, your note for every mom is truly touching ... it's not easy to grow children noawadays, even if to have them is a true blessing
