It is our mission at Country Lady Foods is to BRING BACK HOME COOKING -- It is our aim to make your life in the kitchen easier and down-home-tasty using our homemade, handmade mixes. Using these home style-homemade, dry food mixes helps a novice cook create "homemade food" to serve the family. Our mixes all come from old family recipes, generational cooking from my Grandmother, mother, and now has been passed to my own daughter - its our family favorites all made into dry mixes to share with you.
This photo shows our Mustard & Dill Potato Salad Mix - Ingredients are: Red onion, yellow onion, dill weed, dry mustard, celery flakes, celery seed, turmeric, salt, black pepper, parsley, a touch of garlic, paprika
Directions to use: Pour mix into a large bowl, add 1-1/2 cups mayo, 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar and 1/2 cup HOT water, stir well. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour to rehydrate the vegetables.
Meanwhile cook 6 diced medium sized potatoes (2-1/2 lbs.) in salted water 15-20 min. or until tender then drain well -- immediately add to prepared mayonnaise mixture, stir well. Cover, refrigerate until cold.
HINT: By using hot cooked potatoes the flavors mingle better, as the salad cools those hot potatoes soak up all that dill, mustard, and onion flavor!
